This has been amazing today! CAN closed Friday at .16 and opened this morning at .29 and spiked to .40 all based on recent news. "VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Sept. 28, 2009) - Canaco Resources Inc. (TSX VENTURE: CAN.V) is pleased to announce preliminary assay results from the first drill hole of the Company's current diamond drilling program at the Magambazi gold prospect located in the Handeni region of the United Republic of Tanzania."

It has already pulled back from .40 but is still up 100% from Friday's close. Watching ..

TERRANE METALS - TRX.V @ .55 on 2.1 million shares traded

At .55 TRX is up 30% but it did touch .65 this morning. It's clearly in a new 52 week high zone. It has been climbing the past few weeks from the 20's and 30's to this new level. We are in a pullback area here mid morning .. watching for direction. Remember that .59 and .60 level could be a stalling point.

CANALASKA URANIUM - CVV.V @ .18 on 1 million shares traded

Another volume story on today's news "CanAlaska intercepts 40.4 metres of uranium mineralization in basement rocks at Fond Du Lac".

This one seems to be stalling a bit here at .175 and .18 but with good volume this early it may finally break through the psychological barrier at .19 .. we'll see soon enough. On Level II I can see 300k for sale at .19 right now. If it breaks through that with conviction we may have a brand new ball game for CVV ..

This one has been flying the past two days based on the news yesterday morning "MEXIVADA discovers Diatreme near High-grade Gold Mineralization at Goldstorm in Nevada; Project Updates"

It's already up 42% at the moment and may not hold this level. It opened at .215 and has already hit .385 .. keep a close eye now.

Previous close was .79, opened at .83 and spiked to 1.10 on today's news "Strateco Resources Inc.: Significant Increase in Indicated Resources and Grade at Matoush". The 52 week range is .40 to 1.77 .. with this volume and potential profit taking, I expect a pullback opportunity. Right now there seems to be good support between the .98 and the 1.00 mark.

I mentioned RMD on August 25th @ .05 because of the volume. The volume seemed to return in spades on Friday. RMD traded over 3 million shares and closed at .05 after pulling back the past two weeks. So it's on radar watch on Monday morning.

Be careful here, you have to watch for pullbacks. Keep an eye anyway.

SEA DRAGON ENERGY - SDX.V @ .275 on 1.4 million shares traded

SDX did open above yesterday's close of .25 and has already hit .28 . But the "psychological threshold" at .29 still looms. The 52 week range is .07 to .30 .. so a new 52 week high is potentially in range if the 'buying' volume is sustained. SDX was in the teens in August, so it has certainly seen some steady growth of late. Level II shows good support at .26 right now. A pullback would be nice .. on radar watch mid-morning.

AGX had news this morning "Amador Gold Corp Samples 60.68 g/t Gold, 23.93 g/t Silver and 0.47% Copper on RHB Zone at Horwood Property"

We are no stranger to AGX .. it had an amazing run just recently. See August 6th in our Performance Review table. Today's volume is likely as a result of this mornings news. That said, we are on the fringe of that nasty, get stuck in the mud level of .09 ... so be very careful here, does it just get through the .10 and move to mid teens, if so that's buyer conviction, or does it hit .12 and fall right back to .08 .. Level II is your best friend. But when in doubt! Stay out!

OK had news this morning "Delineation Drilling by Pan American Confirms Orko Results 32.7 Metres of 267.9 g/t Ag Eq Silver Intercepted"

No heavy volume as yet, resistance is at .85 (230,000 shares) getting past that really opens things up on Level II. OK does seem to be trying to edge it's way back to it's recent $1.00 level. But getting past .85 will be the key here today, keep a watch.

YANGARRA RESOURCES LTD - YAN.V @ .05 on 3.8 million shares traded

So here we are again with another volume story. This is an oil play that has definitely peeked some interest of late. Today YAN did hit .065 and does have a 52 week high of .21 .

I noticed this line in a recent news release "The Company announced on July 15, 2009, that it had entered into a non-arms length farm out agreement with Athabaska Energy Ltd." So this little company may have some home run potential. Now that's not a buy recommendation, remember I am only mentioning Yangarra because of today's volume.

Remembering that natural gas is a cyclical commodity, and it's at it's low point today just as we are soon to enter the winter heating season, which typically raises the commodity price for natural gas. Energy investors are watching the cycle of these penny energy stocks. For now though, it's worth keeping an eye on it.

PR opened at .25 this morning, up 25% from yesterday's close. It did so on strong volume. The volume did actually take PR to as high as .30 this morning. It has now pulled back. Watch closely to see if it tries to retest the high and always keep in mind the "psychological price point threshold" that I talk about so much, in this case it would be .29 .. If you have Level II you can see if there is a lot of selling lined up at .29 ... as I write this, there are 200,000 shares for sale at .29 ..
