On decent volume EC opened at .195 above yesterday's close of .18 and then spiked to .26 . I am keeping an eye here for a serious pullback, Level 2 shows good support @ .235 .. lower would be better :) it's mid morning now, so we are still in for a potential pullback .. watching

PASSPORT METALS INC - PPI.V @ .16 on 800,000 shares

On decent volume PPI opened at .15 above yesterday's close of .14 and then spiked to .17 . I am waiting on the 10:30am 'ish typical pullback. Level 2 shows good support at .145 & .15 and resistence at both .17 and .20 . My sense is to try and buy at .15 and then sell at, you guessed it .19

Let's see how this plays out, if we get it, it's a 26% gain.

BIO-EXTRACTION INC - BXI.V @ .80 on 3.4 million shares

BXI opened at .69 up from the previous close of .67 then spiked to .75 and pulled back to .71 then ran to .81 ... we would have bought at .73 and sold at .79 for an 8% gain. All the right pieces were in play here. Not bad for a few hours work.

GEO MINERALS LTD - GM.V @ .09 on 500,000 shares traded

This is another junior that I believe awaits news soon. It's not huge volume but it has been trading well this afternoon. .085 went & now there are 50,000 shares @ .09 ... again, it may be nothing at all. When I see accumulation happening in a short period of time, I take note.

Of course the barrier here is the my old favorite .09 & .095 when it breaks through that psychological price point threshold ... it could move right back to mid teens or higher. So for now, keep an eye.

CENTURY MINING CORP - CMM.V @ .16 on 271,000 shares traded

Just one of those great little junior mining stocks I have found interesting the past few months. Today they had news after the bell. Not the expected and soon to be released news of $65 million dollars to restart their Quebec Mining project, but news that ups their current 43-101 adding another 230,000 oz of gold.

BLAINE, WA, June 23 /CNW/ - Century Mining Corporation (CMM: TSX-V) today announced that significant progress has been made in the last four months through additional historical data input and computer modeling of the mineral resources at the Company's Lamaque underground gold complex.

The updated data input and model includes new previously unknown resources, below the previously mined out Sigma Open Pit, defined from 2,000 - 2,600 feet below surface. The intersections were calculated using information from an additional 4,114 diamond drill holes, 46,725 assays and 8,984 moil samples that have been entered since the announcement of additional resources in the Company's February 25th, 2009 press release. As a result, a detailed block model identified 231,333 ounces of new measured and indicated gold resources in an area previously estimated to contain only 52,890 ounces of gold. Furthermore, 12,938 additional ounces of gold in the inferred category have been identified. Current modeling efforts below the Sigma Open Pit to a depth of 2,600 feet have confirmed an average addition of M&I resources of 39,500 ounces per 100 vertical feet.

I still really like Orex's chances from here with their 43-101 news due anytime. The serious gold bugs have averaged down on this one. Especially in light of the expected news and the fact that OX had a serious run from .14 to .22 very recently on 6 million shares traded. So there are lots of folks watching this one now.

MPH VENTURES CORP - MPS.V @ .10 on 157,000 shares traded

No volume to follow through from Friday and the momentum is now gone.

MPH VENTURES CORP - MPS.V @ .12 on 1.2 million shares traded Friday

At no point this year did MPS trade this many shares in a single day. Additionally, they only have about 40 million shares outstanding. Being a volume watcher, this one just had to hit my radar screen.

Someone mentioned there may be drilling results out soon on their Ontario property. So does someone know something? We'll never know for sure, but Friday's volume says something is happening. I'd pay close attention to MPS this week.

Been watching this all day, since the open @ .235 never really liked the volume but it kept creeping up and pulling back. Now I want to see if the "psychological price point threshold" is in play. See if it stalls at .29 or breaks .30 but pulls back.

MPH VENTURES CORP - MPS.V @ .115 on 1.1 million shares traded

Someone else mentioned there may be drilling results soon from an Ontario property, which is what I expect today's accumulation is all about. The close maybe interesting, then again, it is a summer Friday.

It's been a very long time since MPS traded this many shares in a single day & it's still not over today. They did have news this morning:

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - June 19, 2009) - MPH Ventures Corp. (TSX VENTURE: MPS.V) (FRANKFURT:IJA1) (the "Company") is pleased to announce it has entered into an agreement to acquire a 100 % interest in the Quartz Claims property. This property consists of 22 unit blocks located in the Yukon Territories adjacent and to the north-east of Underworld Resources Inc's White Gold property. The total land package is approximately 950 hectares. Underworld has been exploring sediment and vein-hosted gold targets and they have recently announced (see their news dated May 26, 2009) a discovery hole of 103 metres of 3.4 grams per tonne gold.

It's the Underworld Resources Inc's name that really caught my attention here. UV.V is trading at $2.31 and MPS.V may do well here with it's obvious "closeology". There have been far more buys than sells today, so people are accumulating MPS.V quietly on a Friday.
